Trim Levels of the 2021 Honda Pilot

The 2021 Honda Pilot is the perfect family car. This trendy, family-friendly, mid-sized SUV seats eight people in most trims. Plus, there’s plenty of cargo space with 16.5 cubic feet behind the third-row seating.

Basics

For 2021, Tokyo-based carmaker Honda has made the Pilot available in seven trim levels. All models feature a fuel-efficient and speedy 3.5L V-6 engine that provides 280 horsepower. It will reach a top speed of 130mph and do 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds. All trims are available as an all-wheel-drive and feature a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. All trims are kitted out with a host of standard features, including dual-zone climate control, automatic stop-start system, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto, plus, a variety of safety and driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, anti-lock braking system, and Collision Mitigation Braking System. In terms of fuel consumption, the 2021 Pilot gets 20 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined*.

LX

The LX sits on 18-inch alloy wheels and is available in eight different exterior paint colors, including Steel Sapphire Metallic, Deep Scarlet Pearl, Black Forrest Pearl, And Modern Steel Metallic. As for the interior, it comes in either grey, beige, or black cloth. There’s a 5-inch color LCD screen that handles the infotainment, a 215-watt audio system with 7 speakers, including a subwoofer, Bluetooth, and a USB charging point on the center console.

EX

There’s a host of upgrades on the EX, including machine-finished alloy on the 18-inch wheels, heated body-colored power side mirrors with integrated LED turn indicators, alongside body-colored door handles and a roofline spoiler that features an integrated brake light. Driver assistance features include the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor. Interior features include heated front seats, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an upgraded 8-inch touchscreen, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD radio, and tri-zone automatic climate control with second-row controls. The second-row seats provide access to the third-row seating with just a press of a button.

EX-L

The exterior features a power tailgate, acoustic glass on the windshield, and side mirrors that feature memory settings and reverse gear tilt-down. There’s also a one-touch power moonroof with a tilt feature. Inside, the seats receive a leather trim, there are integrated 2nd-row sunshades and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Plus, there are extra USB and 12-volt charging points.

Special Edition

This trim-level features black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, hands-free access power tailgate, Special Edition badge, black exterior accents, and a wireless phone charger.

Touring

The Touring receives a ton of upgrades, including 20-inch alloy wheels, auto LED headlights, chrome door handles, roof rails, and heated second-row seats. There’s a 590-watt premium audio system that features ten speakers and a subwoofer. The rear entertainment system features a 10-inch screen, blue-ray player, and streaming apps. There’s also Wi-Fi hotspot capability and an in-car PA system. Driver assistance features include a navigation system, exterior temperature system, HondaLink subscription services, a compass, and parking sensors.

ELITE

The Elite benefits from a panoramic roof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row captain chairs.

Black Edition

It comes with all-black styling to the exterior and interior, with ambient red LED lighting.
